This browser can be personalised to a user's preferences. These settings apply for the default preferences on Microsoft Windows.
Altering Zoom Magnification
The whole browser window contents can be enlarged or reduced by any of the following methods:-
- Press Ctrl> and + to enlarge, or Ctrl> and – to reduce (note that the Shift key is not required for either case)
- Select the View> menu (Alt> and V>), choose the Zoom> menu option, and choose either the Zoom In, Zoom Out>, or Reset option.
- Press Ctrl> and 0> (zero) to reset back to the default size.
Changing Text Size
The text size can be zoomed by:-
- Select the View> menu (Alt> and V>), choose the Zoom> menu option, check the Zoom Text Only> option. Press Ctrl> and + to enlarge, or Ctrl> and – to reduce
Note that changing the text size may present the page in a different way to how it was perceived to be displayed.
Changing Colours
The colours can be changed by:-
- Choose the Tools> menu (press Alt> and T>, or select from the menu bar if present), select Options>, and choose the Content> tab. Press the Colours> button, and modify the colours in the dialog.
Screen Reader
We recommend the use of Narrator for Windows 2000 and XP to speak the screen contents.
